Communions · Toro, Zamora

The day is theirs,
from the church to the cake

The communion is held in the restaurant's dining room, with a menu for the adults and a separate one for the children — the one they actually eat. A long table or round ones, room for the cake and time to spare: there is only one celebration a day here.

The kitchen is the one that won us the lechazo awards, and the wines are the house's own. A different place for a day that only happens once.

Arriving

You arrive at a winery,
not at a function hall

You notice the difference from the car park: adobe walls, barrels at the door and the Toro countryside all around. The photos after mass take themselves, without anyone hunting for a pretty corner.

And if you want to show the winery to your guests, the tour is arranged before sitting down to eat.

The gardens

And the children,
free to roam

While the table talk goes on, outside there is grass, shade and room to spare for the little ones to run without anyone shushing them. If the day calls for entertainment or a bouncy castle, it fits here without a squeeze.

The Villablanca gardens are also where the aperitif is served, with the string lights on as evening falls.

About communions here

Is there a separate children’s menu?

Yes. One menu for the adults and a different one for the children — the one they actually eat — with a long table or round tables as needed.

Can we visit the winery before eating?

Yes. If you want to show the winery to your guests, the visit is arranged before sitting down at the table.

Is there space for children after eating?

Yes. Outside there is plenty of lawn and shade for them to run around, and the Villablanca gardens are also where the aperitif is served.

How many people fit?

About 150 people seated in the indoor hall and up to 200 outdoors in Villablanca.
